Altered words

Behind these hazy lights,
Shines covert dreams.
You and me could have
Cuddled together.
Like babies.
And screamed for needs.
But now, in the same house
After altered ancestors have decided
Our different destinies.
We don’t cuddle, but
Still scream for need and attention.

I don't know if this is what this is about, but when I read it, I think about twins separated at birth, but then the "same house" confuses me... it was vivid, and I liked the lines "screamed for needs". what is the story behind this, if you care to share? -Meg

How true this is - nicely done!

Blisshappens- Of course. This speaks of ancestors altered. Lovers could have been born as siblings also. Thats the essence.

Very nicely done. Screaming needs, indeed.
